Colourful, excessive and striking. Meryl (Ebony), James (Jay) and Antonia (Trudy), dressed in their tribe costume - which you probably know from the tv-program - and special tribe make-up, sip from their cola. They draw a lot of attention in their not so ordinary appearance. Even old grandparents want to now what's happening...
Easy: a weird-questions interview with Fancy!
What would you do, if you were a fly for one day?
Antonia: I would sit on a wall and eavesdrop on other peoples conversations. Then I could finally discover what people really think of me. Then at least I know what people gossip about me! I'm especially interested in what things and what they talk about amongst each other. As a fly I would also enjoy flying itself. I think that must be a wonderfully exciting feeling.
James: I would immediately fly to several casting directors I had. When you audition, they don't tell you everything. I'd like to know what they really think about my auditions, to discover the truth. And I would stand up for 'flyrights': the fly swatter and fly-traps should definitely go!
If you could turn back time, what would you change?
James: I would cut my long hair before making my passport photograph. That looked awful…
Antonia: I wouldn't correct my mistakes and failures, cause everything happens for a reason. I would do the nice things in my life again if I could. I'd go to Disneyland in America again and do the attractions which I had to skip last time because of the long queue. Spacemountain, her I come!!
What is your favourite way of transportation?
James: My car. I go for a ride very often. Sometimes with and sometimes without a destination in mind. The further the better. Especially when I'm alone, then I can organise my thoughts. When I come home again I'm a totally different person.
Meryl: I love the sea. Give me a speedboat if I can choose. As long as I'm on the water, I'm at peace and in my own world.
Antonia: Definitely a helicopter. I've been in one 3 times and it gives you this pleasant feeling in you stomach when you go up and down. Just like a roller coaster ride. A helicopter flight is nice and scary at them same time. You can always crash.
What series on television do you watch yourself?
Meryl: Friends, Charmed, the news and current affairs programmes.
James: The Sopranos, The Office and The Simpsons.
Antonia: Sex and the City and Ally McBeal.
With which fruit would you compare yourself?
Antonia: A Kiwi because, well I am a Kiwi. It's a fruit typically from New- Zealand, with a thick skin, to make sure you can't look through it. You won't discover it's true nature until you peel it. And it's very yummy.
Meryl: A nectarine. Hard from the outside, but soft on the inside. And a ripe nectarine is sweet.
James: I'll go for the apple. It has a sturdy, brittle skin, but on the inside it's soft and juicy, especially when it's a bit rotten-ripe. If you make a long rind and you throw it down, you will see the first letter of the person you're going to marry. So I'm more than a fruit…
What do you eat for breakfast?
James: I'm definitely a muesli-type.
Antonia: Addicted actually!
James: Yes, I can eat that the whole day! Usually I eat about 15 bowls of muesli or cornflakes. But a nice thick buttered chocolate-croissant does the trick too…
Antonia: On a workday I usually eat something simple which you can eat and prepare quickly. Cornflakes, muesli with peaches and apricots or a toast. If there is enough time, I like to eat scrambled eggs. The most delicious thing for me are pancakes, but I try not to eat them to often. At home we bake a whole pile of thin pancakes on Sunday and then we eat them with the five of us. Healthy huh?
Who did you send a valentines card to this year?
Antonia: To my boyfriend, I've been with him for 9 months now. I gave him a card and a small present. He's loves boiled eggs, but they always seem to fail when I make them for him. So I gave him a egg boiler, to make sure he finally gets good eggs. Very unromantic, but practical. The love of a man goes through the stomach, that's what they say isn't it?
James: I wrote a poem for my girlfriend and sent it to her.
If you could choose to play another character in the tribe, who would you choose?
Meryl: That's an easy one. The female version of Jack. He's cool, lovable, likable and very different from my character. (Antonia totally agrees with that)
James: Zoot or Ram. I play a good guy now and they're the opposite; psychotic and evil!
Who don't you want to say 'Hi' to?
James: I don't want to say hi to any of my drama teachers at school. They were negative and cynical and I use to have problems with them all the time. I've been sent out very often and was very close to being suspended from school thanks to them!!
Antonia: Only if I would run into a scary guy in a dark alley at night, I wouldn't say hi to him. To everyone else I'd say Hi!
Meryl: Friends from school who used to be very mean and made mean remarks about me behind my back. O and to the devil of course, I won't say hi to him either!
