Interview With Caleb Ross (Lex)
Date unknown. This is a translation of an article that appeared in Spain.
Thanks to Paula Chamas for providing this interview :D
He's the tough guy of the Mallrats. The little ones fear him and there's only one
person to question his power: Amber.
Caleb Ross appears as reserved in real life as in the series. This tough guy is very
fond of music, photography, songs and reading. He's been playing Lex, a character
capable of everything just to get the power over the tribe, for five years.
How would you define your character?
His main objective is to take care of himself. Being the oldest one in the group, he
feels powerful and independent. He liked to dominate others.
Do you have anything to do with you character?
Very little. We're only alike in the fact that we're both very independent.
Even the English Parliament recommended The Tribe as a model for the little ones.
Yes, they put the series as a model for the perfect society. We're also in touch
with Unicef to study how we can help them.
You're wearing very futuristic clothes; do you feel comfortable in them?
That's because we're living in the future. The outfits and the make-up are part of
the whole atmosphere; it even helps us to play. Each gang has its values and that's
reflected on their style.
What other professional projects have you got?
I've worked in another science fiction series in New Zealand. Lex takes me a lot of
time, but I'm preparing myself to direct.
