Ice blue contact lenses for Zoot, mystic flames onto Ebonys forehead, kite eyes for nasty Ram - the make-up of the Tribers is cult and a pain to do at the same time. Every day the actors of the KI.KA-series have to keep still for half an hour in the make-up department until they look like the way that fans have become to know and love them. "The Tribe"-newcomer Tom alias Ram: "Sometimes the make-up on the face is really thick!". Corresponding relaxed and happy were Toni (18) alias Trudy, Beth (18), Meryl (19), Tom (18), Danny (21), James (21) and Michael (19) alias Jack, when Yam! met them during their private visit in Erfurt, the home of KI.KA - without their make-up! "We look like this at home in Wellington/New Zealand", Danny alias Zoot says laughing. And Meryl who plays the Locos girl Ebony since the start of the series The Tribe in April 01 jokes: "I hope, it is no shock, to see us without the war paint!" Above all the transformations, Beth, alias Amber is most extreme! Beth: "In the series, I have these tiny meatballs on the head, to get them I always sit in make-up the longest!" Danny's contact lenses are in quickly - and the effect is brilliant! "The girls really like it!", the shows darling and the heartbreaker says with a grin.
