Meryl

DRAGON*CON Labor Day Weekend
ATLANTA,
May 5, 2003 – Where the virus came from no one knew. Was it
bacterial warfare or some nation's scientific experiment gone horrifically
wrong? Only an intensive inquiry could answer that. But there is
no-one left to hold such an inquiry. No adults anyway. And the few
children left behind are too busy surviving to worry about what had
plummeted them from a hi-tech world of sophistication - into anarchy,
confusion, danger and fear. Such is the introduction to the international
sci fi hit television show, "The Tribe," shown exclusively
in the U.S. on WAM!
During Labor
Day weekend, August 29-September 1, five stars from the series, including
Meryl Cassie (Ebony), Caleb Ross (Lex) and Beth Allen (Amber), along
with "The Tribe" creator, writer, and executive producer, Raymond
Thompson, will voyage to Dragon*Con, America's largest annual science
fiction and popular arts event. The cast will participate in 30 hours
of activities just to The Tribe and their fans, including signings with
the cast and creator, Q & A panels on a multitude of topics, workshops
on “Tribe” face-painting and fashion, trivia and costume
contests, and much more!
Produced and
filmed in New Zeland, “The Tribe” has captivated teens in
the U.S. and throughout the world. The series’ Website boasts 15
million hits per month with some 2 – 3 million generated from the
U.S. The show can be seen exclusively on WAM! Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT,
with additional playdates throughout the month.
The host and
co-sponsor of this exciting Tribe gathering is Atlanta's Dragon*Con.
Now in its 17th year, the convention also features additional gatherings
