I'd love to stay an actress, but I don't know that you can in NZ because there isn't that much work. Who do you prefer, Jack or Luke? Jack or Luke? That would be telling! -That's actually hard. I prefer Ellie with Jack because she's whiney with Luke. Do you get on well with all the cast? Yes, they're all so cool, and the newbies are really cool as well. Who is the funniest cast member? Michael, definately. How old are you, and when were you born? June 7, 1984 What got you get into acting? Learning how to fool mom that it was my little brother who "did it" and not me. Most embarrassing moment? Most embarassing moment, I was walking down the bus aisle a month ago and the bus started and I fell flat on my face. -All the school kids were laughing at me and no one got up to help me. Very embarassing. Whats the most outrageous costume anyone's worn? Trudy's seduction outfit for the Guardian. Very nice. Favorite and worst scene? Fav. The fight scene in the new series (you'll have to wait and see!) Worst...eating the Chosen's gruel. Very disgusting. Did you originally audition for another part? I auditioned for Ellie with Michael. -We auditioned together. Is it weird kissing people on the set when you are friends with them in real life? Very weird. You've got to remember that it's part of your job and it's not real otherwise. Who would you have liked to play other than Ellie? May or Ebony. Do you like your hairstyles? At the end of Series III I didn't! Would you prefer to be a bad person or a good person? The baddies get all the fun! Who do you most get on with? Kelly Stevenson and Toni Prebble. Are you like Ellie in real life? I'm not as whiney or as stubborn as she is, I like to think I have that good taste in guys. (Megh's Question!!!) Jennyfer, tell us, leather, feathers, or glitter? Glitter, all the way!!! Do you ever wish that you were like normal teenagers? We are normal teenagers, the only difference is that we have a job. Who do you think is the cutest cast member? There's a new young girl in the new series, she's just gorgeous. Can't tell you any more than that. What about your schoolwork, do you have any time to get it all done? Unfortunately I do have enough time to get everything done. -We have a classroom at Cloud 9. Do you have a good relationship with MWS? Yes, but he's kinda scared of me because I'm crazy. Do you like Radiohead? Yup. What did you have to do for your audition for The Tribe? I read a scene which was Patsy talking to Jack, only I had to do it really flirty. And when I saw the scene that Sarah had done, it was completely different. How tall are you? About 168 cm. Do any of the cast have smelly feet? Some of the boys. All of us girls smell wonderful. Are you glad you didn't have to dye your hair? No, I would love to have funky hair. Worst hair? When Jamie had her green tips and she went swimming in the pool and they changed to a yucky yellow-green. Blah! What do you do in your spare time? Ha! What spare time! I like to gossip and shop and eat chocolate. Can you go shopping without being recognized? NZ is only just showing series II at the moment, & NZ-ers don't get all excited about celebrities, they're shyer and more hesitant to come up to you, although I did get recognized the other day. ...By the way, Kelly Stevenson plays Dee in the new series. Are you tired of getting up at 8:00am? Ha! 8:00am is a sleep compared to some of our early morning starts. Have you lost contact with all your old friends since you started working on The Tribe? Nah, because they all live in Wellington anyways. Who do you think the best actor or actress is? On The Tribe? -Everyone is great! -But my favorite actors would be Dame Judi Dench and Sir Ian McKellen. Whats the weather like there? Blah. Who lives furthest away from the cast house aside from Kelly Stevenson? Caleb lives at the top of the North Island, so that's pretty far... but in Wellington, Michael lives the farthest away. Favorite Vacation? My recent one to Europe. It was hot and pretty and hot and pretty and hot. So Jen, I asked the same question to Beth the other day. I was wondering what your favorite type of milkshake was... Chocolate and caramel from Kinos the cafe at Cloud 9. Who are your favorite authors? Jane Austin, Shakespeare, Urusla Le Guin, Roald Daul, and Ken Katran. To further your acting career, would you ever move to a different country? Not America, but Europe or Australia... What's your favorite subject at school? Classics or Latin. Have you ever been to the UK? Yup, about 7 weeks ago. Are you guys on any special sort of diet for the series? No, I just pig out, we can eat what we like. Are you doing any other shows like Atlantis High? No, but I'd like to work on A.H., it sounds really cool. By the way, it airs on Channel 5 in the UK this Saturday. Have you ever been to South Africa or anywhere like that? No, I go to boring vacation spots. I'd love to go to SA. If you could be anyone in the world, who would you be? Someone with alot of power that everyone loves. Oprah! Have you ever been to the USA? Yup, I've been to the USA, but it was when I was really little, so I don't remember too much. Do you play an instrument? Piano and voice(ish). Do you have any siblings? An ickle brother called Sam who is my scapegoat. What's Beth Allen like? She's really nice and really smart. Favorite band/singer? Killing Heidi and Green Day and all the NZ bands. Is the Guardian really a fruitcake? The Guardian is, but Damon is alot of fun and he's really nice. Do you answer alot of fanmail? I try to, but send me more! Do you speak another language? French and I learned Latin. Is Caleb a softie in real life, or is he like Lex? Caleb is nothing like Lex, he is a huge softie and loves Winnie the Pooh. Are you and Mike going out? No way! Mikey and I are just friends. Do you have any advice for those who want to start acting? Do as much as you can, amature or professional and believe in yourself! Do you have any hobbies? Reading, walking, gossiping, laughing, and living. Do you play any sports? Not if I can avoid it, I like whacking a ball around with my friends, but I don't like organized team sports. Do you have a favorite teddy? Yup, one my Dad bought my Mum 27 years ago after she passed all her nursing exams. Do you have a boyfriend? Some boys are my friends, but no, I don't have a boyfriend at the moment. Favorite soft drink? Coca Cola! Favorite TV program? Red Dwarf, other than the Tribe of course. How did you think of a name such as Quirklepriff? I have a strange, strange mind that makes up weird names. Are Jake and Mike both nice to work with? They are both so cool and funny! Do you have any peircings? Just my ears, but I'm working on my courage to get my belly button peirced. Favorite food? Chocolate and lasagna. Do you have any tatoos, or would you consider having any done? No, but I'd like a black-winged unicorn on my right shoulder blade. What is your dream house like? A castle with a moat and a dragon guarding my treasure. Have you ever been told off for misbehaving on set? All the time because Mikey and Jake always make me laugh. Have you ever been to Scotland? Not that I remember, but I'd love to go. Are there any characters from movies that you wish you could be? Storm or Jubilee from X-men.. What's your favorite movie? The Matrix, The Princess Bride, and Macbeth. If you could be any other character in the Tribe, who would you be? May or Ebony cuz they would be fun to play... or Bob because he gets more closeups than I do! If the virus hit for real, what style would you adapt and what Tribe would you join? I have no idea... but I would probably join a tribe like the Mall Rats. Which member of the cast really annoys you? Cloudy the dog, the evil poodle dog!!! Who would you rather kiss, Lex or Bray? Dwayne because Caleb is shorter than I am. What was the last movie you watched? On video, Princess Bride... in theatres, A Knights Tale. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? French Vanilla or Caramello. Who is the best kisser out of Mikey and Jake? They are screen kisses, they're not real. Is Vanessa Stacey fun to work with? Vanessa is so amazingly funny and she's so sweet! Who did you prefer, Bob or Cloudy? Easy peasy Bob. Cloudy is an annoying little poodle! Whose the prettiest cast member without makeup on? Prettiest cast member... everyone has a unique look, they're all beautiful. Is Ryan Runciman a nice person? Ryan is really really nice. Can you describe yourself in 5 words? One word: no. Has anyone in the USA (like Britney Spears, the Olsen Twins, Jennifer Lopez ...etc.) ever commented on the Tribe series that you know of? I don't pay attention to those people, so I don't know. Jen, who are your favorite musicians? ...my friend's band Permafrost. Is Jennyfer Jewell your real name or a stage name? It's my real name, but if my Dad had had his way, it would've been spelled even weirder. What do you mean screen kisses? Forgive me if I sound ignorant, but they looked real to me... They happen, but with a real kiss, you feel something special for the person. It's kinda odd doing it with 40 crew members sitting around watching. What's your favorite make of chocolate? Cadburys and Caramello. What do you think about the persons who work behind the camera? They're all really funny, all of our crew are really cool and treat us like equals. If you weren't acting in the Tribe, what part would you want to do in making it? I would love to be a director or a makeup artist so I could draw on people's faces. Do you live alone? No, I live with my parents. Do you like to shop? I love shopping! -Especially with Mom or Dad's money! Do you like to sing? I love to sing! Would you ever come to the UK for a Tribal Gathering? If you guys would pay for my flight, I'd love to, it would be really cool. Are you good with the computer like on The Tribe? I'm quite good because my Dad's a computer programmer. -But I'm not quite as good as Jack is. Have you ever been to Germany? No, but I want to go. Are you as outspoken and bold as Ellie is? Yes I am, but I'm not as whiney. Does it bother you to get up early? Yes, but once I'm awake, it's just like any other time. What about the US, would you come here for a Gathering? -I know everyone would pitch in to get you here. I'd love to go! Do you prefer location, or filming in the studio? Location, because it's really fun sitting in the campers with the rest of the cast huddled around the heater cuz it's cold. What are your plans for today? I'm working later this morning, then schoolwork, then home, then sleep. Did any actor or actress inspire you to become an actress? No one in particular, but people like Drew Barrymore and Jodi Foster make me want to continue acting as I get older. Do you have any bad habits? I'm really bossy and I'm not the most tactful person in the world, and I always speak without thinking. -I'm not really tidy either...but there are good things about me too! What's your favorite animal? Dolphins, horses, cats, and dragons. Do you like hockey? I don't play it, but some of my friends do and I watch it sometimes. Do you ever cut your hair? I never cut it except for trims. Do you like any Harry Potter books? I love Harry Potter, and I wanna be a wizard, I think it would be so cool! Do you like school? I think school is necessary, and some of my teachers make it really interesting. I don't like being cooped up for 7 hours a day though. Do you think Ellie would make a good leader? No, not really. She's not self-reliant and she doesn't think before she speaks. What are the exams over in NZ called that you are working towards? -Over here they are the GCSE's.
